About

Swedish-Inspired. Pacific Northwest Approved.

The story thus far...

What happens when you get a great deal on a refrigerated van, a head full of deli dreams, and a heritage full of pickled herring and stubborn ambition?

You get BluVan Bords, a mobile Nordic-style deli rolling through Clark County, Washington.

I started BluVan Bords after years working behind the scenes for major food retailers and USDA production facilities. I learned the ins and outs of food safety, quality, and efficiency but deep down, I always knew I wanted to build something of my own. When that icy blue van came along, it felt like the universe handed me the keys (literally and figuratively).

Rooted in my Swedish grandparents’ traditions and inspired by the flavors of the Pacific Northwest, BluVan Bords is where gravlax meets Tillamook, and remoulade runs wild. We’re not just slinging sandwiches,  we’re serving stories, heritage, and a little bit of rebellion against the boring lunch.

Every board, sandwich, and snack we serve is made with the kind of care you only get from someone who knows both sides of the food industry the big corporate kitchens and the tiny family tables.

We’re proud to be small, local, and a little unexpected. You can find us posted up at markets, events, and wherever hungry people gather in Clark County. Just look for the blue van — and follow the scent of dill and toasted rye.

Meet, Hannah Charlotta Lindström Berggen

Originally from Örebro, Sweden, she eventually settled in Des Moines Iowa, where she had a whole bunch of kids.  One of them was my grandma, Betty Joann. Hannah raised them in the heart of the Great Depression and had to be both thrifty and inventive to feed and cloth them all.
